Do I need to pay to record videos?

No. Recording is 100% free forever. You don't even need an account. Payments only apply if you want to upload to cloud storage and need more than 1GB.

What happens if I hit the storage limit?

You can still record and save videos locally. You just won't be able to upload more to the cloud until you upgrade or delete old files.

Can I cancel Pro anytime?

Yes. Cancel anytime from your billing dashboard. You'll keep Pro features until the end of your billing period, then automatically revert to Free — your files stay safe.

Is there a team plan?

Not yet, but it's in development. For now, each team member needs their own account. Contact support@sirvez.com if you need volume pricing.

How is Sirvez different from Loom?

Do I need to create an account?

No account needed for recording. Install the extension and start capturing immediately. You only need to sign up if you want to upload recordings to the Sirvez Media Center for cloud storage, shareable links, and analytics.

What's the maximum recording length?

There is no time limit. Record for as long as you need — the only constraint is your local storage space. All recordings are stored locally first, then you can choose to upload to the cloud.

Can I edit videos after recording?

Yes. Sirvez includes a built-in editor with pan & zoom keyframes, text annotations, arrows, rectangle highlights, speed changes, and non-destructive section deletion. Fast export via WebCodecs parallel hardware-accelerated encoding with FFmpeg.wasm fallback.

Does it work offline?

Yes. You can record and edit completely offline. Recordings are stored locally in the extension. Internet is only required when you want to upload videos to the Sirvez Media Center.

Can I password-protect my recordings?

Yes. When you upload to Sirvez Media Center, you can add SHA-256 password protection to any video. Share pages include a password gate with client-side verification — only people with the password can view it.

How do analytics work?

Videos uploaded to Sirvez Media Center include detailed analytics: total views, unique sessions, geolocation (country, city, ISP), device and browser breakdown, average watch time, views-by-day timeline (30 days), and the last 20 viewer sessions with full details.

What's included in Pro?

Pro ($6/month or $60/year) includes 50GB storage, custom branding on share pages (logo and primary color), a watermark with configurable position and opacity, and billing info on invoices (company name, VAT number).

Can I export videos locally?

Yes. You can download recordings as WebM files directly to your computer. The editor uses WebCodecs for fast, hardware-accelerated export with FFmpeg.wasm as a fallback for compatibility.

Does Sirvez capture system audio?

Yes. When recording your entire desktop, system audio is captured via the Web Audio API. For tab recording, tab audio is captured. You can also add microphone narration independently.
